Europe Tour 2012

About Performance

From February to March 2012, the Waseda University Symphony Orchestra held the 13th Overseas Tour in Europe 2012. The tour toured 13 venues in three countries, Japan, Germany, and Austria, and received rave reviews for works such as R. Strauss’s “Alpine Symphony.”

In addition, the world premiere of the “Concerto for Japanese Taiko and Orchestra” created by Mr. Kazuki Yutani (an alumnus of the orchestra) for this tour was held, and the wonderful collaboration between Japanese instruments and orchestra was met with loud applause and standing ovation.
