1992 World Concert Tour

About Performance

The “Waseda University Symphony Orchestra 1992 World Tour” was the 6th overseas concert tour of the Waseda University Symphony Orchestra, which toured 16 cities in 7 countries from February to March 1992.

This tour was planned and conducted with the aim of deepening mutual understanding and contributing to world peace through exchanges with audiences in various countries. The tour is also based on the will of the late Mr. Karajan, who took an interest in the activities of the orchestra and supported it in various ways.

All proceeds from the February 15 performance in Potsdam (Air Laser Association) were donated for the repair of church bells.

*The February 17 concert in Dresden was recorded and later broadcast on the radio.
