Waseda University Symphony Orchestra participated in and won the 5th International Youth Orchestra Competition (commonly known as the “Karajan Competition”) in 1978. Europe Tour 2024 was 15th overseas concert tour. The orchestra has toured over 70 cities in 16 countries so far and has generated a great response each time.

“Music is a universal language that allows us to communicate with all kinds of people, transcending cultures, languages, and borders, and allows us to empathize with their joys, anger, sadness, and joy.”
With this recognition in mind, the orchestra is constantly striving to create even better music. Being able to understand each other through music is a joy that cannot be replaced by anything else, and this international cultural exchange is the purpose of our overseas performances.
